I’ve playing recently with moodle , an open-source CMS grounded heavily in social constructionist pedagogies. While it’s initial look is a little silly (the colors and fonts), diving deeper one finds a better way of teaching and learning online.

To quote this article , “A new NASA Internet tool called “Giovanni” allows high school and college students and researchers to access and analyze satellite-derived ocean color data. Ocean color data provides students with information about ocean biology by looking at phytoplankton through changes in the color of the ocean surface.”

This analysis of the current literature breaks the trends into discrete categories for easier digestion. I’m always weary of future predictions, but am more open to broad analysis of the current landscape (and what’s just over the hill).
