This page gives brief summaries of what the various regional accrediting bodies are doing with e-learning. It’s interesting how different regions have different focuses — evaluation, hybrid programs, keeping up with new programs, etc.

This is an interesting new twist in the next “nail in the coffin” for Internet Explorer. The Opera web browser is offering free site licenses to HiEd according to this item. I hadn’t kept an eye on Opera since it cost money to remove the ads. It is one of the most standards-compliant browsers out there and has some features that people really enjoy.

To quote wikipedia (more on that in a sec), a wiki is “a website that allows a user to add content … but also allows that content to be edited by anyone.” I’m learning more about them as I co-teach MLIS 753 “Internet Fundamentals and Design” at St Kate’s. We’ll be using a wiki in the class.
