This is an interesting new twist in the next “nail in the coffin” for Internet Explorer. The Opera web browser is offering free site licenses to HiEd according to this item. I hadn’t kept an eye on Opera since it cost money to remove the ads. It is one of the most standards-compliant browsers out there and has some features that people really enjoy.
The last time I used it though, I found it a bit slow and bloated feeling. I probably should check it out again and see. By bloated, I mean it felt too busy for me. I still like the lean feeling of FireFox. But everything deserves a second look.
